Our team
We’re a team of former Tesla engineers who have been working on AI and computer vision problems in manufacturing for the last decade. We started Hyperion because we love tackling hard problems with great people, and we saw a massive opportunity to bring true, practical AI into modern manufacturing. We’ve built some of the most advanced vision systems in the industry, and what we love most remains the same: putting powerful tools directly into the hands of the people who actually run the production floors.
Our Current Mission
Quality inspection still depends heavily on manual checks that are slow, inconsistent, and impossible to scale to 100% of production. We exist to make world-class visual inspection accessible to every manufacturer.
Our Long Term Vision
Catching defects is only the beginning. Our mission is to automate the visual work of a manufacturing facility as a whole: quality inspection, EHS and safety monitoring, document verification, and everything else a trained pair of eyes can do inside a factory floor. If a person can see it, Hyperion should be able to watch for it around the clock and on every inch of a facility. And we want that within reach of every manufacturer, not just the ones with a machine-learning team.
